The Public Fund
Help Build the Public Fund!
The Australian Archaeological Association is an Incorporated, not-for-profit organisation and the Public Fund is our charitable arm. The Public Fund receives donations and supports projects that further our cultural purposes.
The Public Fund was established in 2015 and our application for gift-deductible tax status is pending and we hope to receive approval by 2016. Over the next decade we aim to build up the Public Fund to provide significant, long-term support to Australian archaeology. The Association intends annually to disburse part of the interest from the Public Fund to support its cultural purposes.
How to donate?
All donations are gratefully received and acknowledged in a permanent register. Every contribution – small and large – will be used to benefit Australian archaeology. You may donate in the following ways:
- Click on the ‘Donate’ button and follow the secure PayPal payment gateway.
- Send a cheque to: The Treasurer, M257, UWA, 35 Stirling Highway, Crawley, WA 6009, Australia.
- Add a donation to your annual membership payment.
- Provide for a gift to the Public Fund in your will.
Donations of over $1,000 receive a Friends of the Association plaque and a formal acknowledgment in the annual report.
Donations of over $10,000 may be nominated toward specific purposes and may be held in a dedicated fund bearing the name of the donor.
What we fund?
The AAA Public Fund supports projects that promote Archaeology. Typically, we support: student research projects, Indigenous archaeology and heritage initiatives, discussion and dissemination of archaeological and related findings, conservation work on sites and collections, and we grant prizes for excellence in the field.
