The Department of Environment and Resource Management is the lead State Government agency for cultural heritage issues in Queensland. The Cultural Heritage Coordination Unit is responsible for the administration of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Heritage Act. Work experience placements are available up to 1-2 days per week to assist with cataloguing reports, entering site data into the database and assisting with data requests from traditional owner groups and their advisors.
