The ACL focuses on information management and delivery for the humanities, with particular emphasis on the spatial and temporal dimensions (event modelling, spatial searching, mapping and map animation) and on new opportunities presented by the internet (academic knowledge management, online databases and web mapping). Our work is by no means restricted to archaeological projects. Most of our methodological development work is intentionally generic, and more than half our projects fall within the broader fields of history, cultural heritage management and general humanities scholarship.
