Umwelt (Australia) Pty Ltd is an environmental consulting firm based in Toronto, near Newcastle, New South Wales. We provide a comprehensive range of services associated with Aboriginal cultural heritage management including survey and assessment as part of Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments, small- and large-scale subsurface testing and excavation programs, Aboriginal sites officer training, Aboriginal cultural heritage awareness training, Aboriginal Place nominations and Aboriginal cultural heritage management plans. We currently have eight archaeologists on our cultural heritage team who are very conscious of the importance of integrating archaeology within the broader framework of cultural heritage management and work closely with relevant Aboriginal stakeholders on all projects.
